Postscript

The coincidences with the Book of Revelation are many and varied. In our sphere of influence we have an oppressor empire, even if it is in decline, with a prostitute in a Christian sense at its head, with everyone speaking a common language (Babylon).

We have two beasts and they both have their own followers, many of whom would follow that beast all the way to an early grave.

We have the SDLP, who represent a New Testament path to a future with social justice, who were led and founded by a John the Baptist-style figure.

We have the Ulster Unionist Party who once represented, and some say they still do, an Old Testament path.

Finally, we have a man who claims to be the second coming of Christ, who says that he has already judged us all already and who lives in a walled city like the New Jerusalem.

Is it all just a coincidence?

Or is God trying to tell you something?

Is there really anything surprising about what the man who claims to be the Christ says? Can Gerry Adams, or Ian Paisley, or Queen Elizabeth really complain? Hasn’t he got it right?

Isn’t it time for a bit of humility on your part?

Isn’t it time for you to bow to God’s judgment?
